1. Acceptance of terms

These Terms and Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy, govern your access to and use of the carvdbox website and your purchase of any product from carvdbox, referred to in these terms as carvdbox, we, us, or our. By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website or place an order.

2. Orders and personalization

Each carvdbox memory box is a custom, made to order product, engraved according to the message, signature, and motif you provide during checkout, and including a printed photo if you select that option. Because each item is personalized specifically for you, please review your engraving message carefully before completing your purchase. We make reasonable efforts to display the engraving preview accurately, but minor variations in font rendering, spacing, or wood grain between the on screen preview and the finished physical product may occur and do not by themselves constitute a defect.

If you notice an error in your order after submitting it, contact us immediately at support@carvdbox.com. We will make reasonable efforts to correct the order before production begins, but we cannot guarantee a change can be made once engraving has started.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, including for reasons such as suspected fraud, errors in pricing or product information, or content submitted for engraving that violates section 6 of these terms. If we cancel an order after payment has been collected, we will issue a full refund.

3. Pricing and payment

All prices are listed in United States dollars and include shipping within the United States and Canada unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to change prices at any time, though changes will not affect orders already placed and paid for. Payment is processed securely through Stripe at the time your order is placed. By placing an order, you represent that you are authorized to use the payment method provided.

4. Shipping and delivery

We currently ship to addresses within the United States and Canada. Estimated delivery timeframes, typically five to seven business days from the time an order is placed, are estimates only and are not guaranteed. carvdbox is not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, customs processing, severe weather, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control. Risk of loss and title to products pass to you upon our delivery to the shipping carrier, though we will work with you in good faith to resolve issues with packages lost or damaged in transit.

5. Our 30 day guarantee and returns

Because each box is personalized to your specifications, we are not able to accept returns or offer refunds for reasons of buyer's remorse or a simple change of mind once production has begun, except as required by applicable law. This guarantee does not cover damage caused by misuse, normal wear over time, or alterations made by you after delivery.

6. Your engraving content and conduct

You are solely responsible for the message, signature, motif, and any photo you submit for engraving or printing. By submitting content to us, you represent that you own the rights to that content or have permission to use it, and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party. We reserve the right to refuse to produce, without obligation to provide a reason, any order containing content that is unlawful, threatening, hateful, obscene, infringing, or otherwise objectionable. If we cancel an order for this reason, we will issue a full refund.

7. Intellectual property

All content on the carvdbox website, including text, graphics, logos, page layout, and software, is the property of carvdbox or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our website content without our prior written permission. This section does not apply to the personal message, signature, or photo you submit for your own engraving, which remains yours.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, carvdbox and its owners, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising from your use of our website or products, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. In any case, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your order shall not exceed the amount you paid for that order.

Nothing in these terms is intended to limit any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence in jurisdictions where such limitations are not permitted.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

Our website and products are provided on an as is and as available basis. Except for the express guarantee described in section 5, carvdbox makes no other warranties, express or implied, regarding our products or website, including implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

10. Governing law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions, except to the extent that mandatory consumer protection laws of your jurisdiction of residence provide otherwise.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of our website or placement of an order after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
